Energetické centrum Bratislava was founded in 1992. It is an independent non-profit non-governmental organization and its main mission is to promote and support the rational use of energy. It focused on increasing energy efficiency in both the public and private sectors. The company’s activities focus on increasing energy efficiency and rational use of renewable energy sources. It works for both the public and private sectors. It is a part of international teams and work for international financial institutions and it shares experience and knowledge from international cooperation in cooperation with Slovak professional institutions.

ECN also helps implement European energy and environmental policies in Slovakia. It cooperates with municipalities on the preparation and implementation of energy concepts and support the use of energy services in the public sector (so-called Energy Performance Contracting).
